Welcome to the South Carolina Division,
United Daughters of the Confederacy

A message from the South Carolina Division President,
Ann P. Shugart

All six district meetings have been held and were well attended. Thank you to the host Chapters and District Directors for a job well done!

Confederate Memorial Day Services were held throughout our state during the month of May. I hope all South Carolina daughters attended at least one service. Let us always remember our Confederate soldiers for their service and sacrifice to our beloved Southland.

May is the last month most Chapters meet before the beginning of the new UDC year in September. Now is the time to begin working on year-end reports. Check the SC Division website for reporting forms and due dates. Let's make certain we capture all our Chapter activities. Remember, a "No Report" counts as a Chapter report.

Plans are being made for our Division to have a workshop. The date is August 20, 2016. Further information will be forwarded to members in July. Please save this date and plan to attend.

Our South Carolina Division Convention will be held October 6-8, 2016, in North Charleston. Edisto District members are working very hard this summer to make certain this will be a wonderful convention. The convention call will be posted on our website and included in our June 2016 newsletter.

I hope you have a relaxing, restful and safe summer! I look forward to seeing each of you at our Division workshop in August and our Division convention in October!
